Woodland Opera House State Historic Park

Overview
Originally built in 1885 and rebuilt in 1896 after being destroyed by fire, the Woodland Opera House was donated to the state in 1980. Its restoration was begun in 1981. Seven years and more than $2,000,000 later, the Woodland Opera House reopened and began to offer live entertainment on a year-round basis. The park is located at the corner of Main and Second Street in downtown Woodland. Phone 530-666-9617.

Exhibits/Programs
The Woodland Opera House offers theater performances and other live programs in facilities that include accessible seating locations. Assistive listening devices are available. The accessible entry is via a generally accessible elevator in front of the building adjacent to the stairs. Restrooms permit front transfers only but are generally accessible. Parking. There is no parking specifically for the Opera House but designated accessible parking, including van parking, is available on a first come basis adjacent and behind the structure. Paths of travel from parking to the Opera House are over paved city sidewalks that appear to be level and barrier free.
