Overview
Prairie City State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) is set against rolling hills at the base of the Sierra Nevada and is open year-round. It includes motorcycle, all-terrain vehicle and four-wheel drive open areas along with shaded picnic areas. The Hangtown MX track is professionally designed and maintained as weather permits. There is also a Quarter Midget Track, Go-Kart Track, and a four-wheel drive obstacle course. Accessible features are available. This SVRA is 20 miles east of downtown Sacramento and three miles south of U.S. 50.

Picnic Area
4x4 Obstacle Course Area. Accessible picnic tables are available.
Kids Mini Track Area. Accessible picnicking and parking are available.
Hangtown MX Track Area. Accessible picnic sites, restroom and no-flush restrooms, and parking are available.
Overlook/Staging Area. Accessible picnic sites, parking, bleacher seating and restroom are present.
Quarter Midget Car Area. Accessible parking, picnicking, restrooms, no-flush restrooms, and bleacher seating are available.
