Heber Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area

Overview
State Vehicular Recreation Areas (SVRAs) are operated by California State Park's Off Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division (OHMVRD) and you may see their web pages, www.ohv.parks.ca.gov, for more information on these parks.

Heber Dunes SVRA is a 343 acre SVRA that is popular with ATV riders as well as dune buggies, utility vehicles, and motorcyles. This SVRA offers a variety of recreational challenges including winding trails through the creosote studded sand dunes, large "fine sand" sand dunes, and dry lake beds with hard packed clay. The park is located eight miles east of the community of Heber on Heber Road. Access is via Interstate 8 to State Highway 111 or 86. Highway 86 becomes Heber Road where it intersect Highway 111. Call (760) 767-5391 or (760) 768-8982 for more information.

Other Information
While more accessibility improvements are pending, the park now has a fully accessible restroom with van accessible parking located adjacent to the park office.
